Welcome to "MeltDown"! 

Trapped deep underground, four unlucky miners find themselves in a mine that’s quickly filling with molten lava. The only way out? Fight, scramble, and outsmart your rivals to claim the single escape ladder before it’s too late.

This is a turn-based strategy game for up to four local players. Each round, you’re dealt a random number of action points to spend on moving across the grid or swinging one of the weapons scattered through the mine. Will you make a dash for the ladder, or will you sabotage the others before they escape?

The goal is simple: reach the ladder, bring it back to the center, and climb to safety. But remember — in this mine, there can only be winners. The last dwarf left behind loses.

This prototype is based on a board game I originally designed, and it’s about 80% of the way to a full demo. While some features are still in development, it’s already a tense and chaotic battle of luck, strategy, and timing.

This was my third ever solo prototype. Other that the illustrations, the characters and their animations, and the sound files, everything was made and designed by me.
